Gelsoft Plus is the first of a new generation of zero porosity, gelatin sealed polyester vascular grafts featuring a unique Koper knitted structure. This provides dilatation resistance while preserving all the advantages of a warp knitted structure i.e. soft handling, absence of fraying, increased strength and suture retention. Gelsoft Plus utilises Vascutek’s unique, proven, low thrombogenicity hydrolysable gelatin sealant technology. The sealant can be loaded with heparin to provide additional active thromboresistance within the graft and/or bonded with antibiotics for extra protection against postoperative graft infection in high risk cases.
